this is what i find funny, or what's on my mind.

Alright Bo, your turn.
So, freshman year of college? we went to canada for spring break. Toronto specifically. It was an amazing weekend, where i first learned to play DDR, and had my first piece of “street meat”. At some point of our adventure, we stumbled into this “purple place” (the neon was purple). There was a little club downstairs, a pool table and neat fishtank upstairs. The bartender was super cool to us, and if i remember correctly, gave us a good deal on drinks. we left and that was that.
The real memory comes from going back a year later to toronto, and trying to find this place, which somehow we did. We then found out it was called milano, and the same bartender (simon) was working there and remembered us. hooked us up with drinks again, and had a great time overall. also there was something about a shrinking tower… bo knows all about that one though.

A toofer, since i missed yesterday.
This is for Lee and Melissa.
There was one summer after “the group” had disbanded and ultimate frisbee was no more. We tried to have fun, while staying out of trouble, and one night Lee and I came up with the idea for playground olympics. It required an obstacle course through a kids playground, some sillyness on some swings and other shenanigans. one night lee topped it off with the traffic cone shotput. his went over a fence, and into a pool. He took home the gold that night.

I want to keep my creative juices flowing, so I’m going to try and do a daily “sketch” series, called remember when.
This one is for Mike Baylis.
When we were in Boy Scouts, every summer there would be a canoe regatta down in Clinton, NY. The one year I didn’t race, Mike and I worked on a mix tape to get him “amped up” before the race. The non racers would drive ahead and position themselves to watch the canoes coming down the river, I held my boombox high to let him know we were there, but realized that he wouldn’t be able to hear it. I got a climbing rope and lowered it off of a bridge dangling above the water, just barely passing over his head. Did it work? Who knows? It was fun as heck though.

day 14 - song that no one would expect you to love. - Warping to a Different Dimension - FFX OST

I’m actually really into the whole “chanting” thing, very peaceful, and soothing believe it or not.

day 13 - song that is a guilty pleasure. - Return to Innocence - Enigma

Don’t judge me.

day 12 - song by band you hate. - Bouncing Around the Room - Phish

I didn’t want to go the cheap way out here, and post like nickelback, or rebecca black, or the man in black, or frank black. So i went with a band i was never really “into”. I never got into the whole DMB, Phish, Dead, Rusted Root scene. It’s just not my thing. So here is a song I’ve heard, and can tollerate. I don’t “hate” too many bands, but you wont find phish in my playlist and i’m not rushing out to any of their shows or album releases.

day 11 - song by your favorite band. - Wish - Nine Inch Nails

This was a no brainer. I was in 7th grade, when Dave Perry handed me a mix tape. I was just getting into the “rock scene” of music, as I had just relocated from the ghetto to not the ghetto, and was trying to give myself a fresh start. This was the 2nd song on the mix tape with the first being Pinion - NIN. I don’t really know specifically what about this song caused me to fall in love with NIN, but it did. My first cd purchase was pretty hate machine shortly thereafter, and my collection just grew. 14 years later, my wife made my one “bucket list” come true. She got me tickets to one of NIN final live shows for my 28th birthday. best. wife. ever.

day 10 - song that makes you fall asleep. - Ghosts I - Nine Inch Nails

Putting on this album, starting with this track, and just closing your eyes and letting it play through untill you fall asleep leads to such lucidity, especially when you have headphones in, one track melts into the next. I’m surprised it’s taken this long for a NIN song to make the list. Either way, simply amazing.

day 9 - song that you can dance to. - Womanizer (dubstep remix) - Borgore

This was another difficult one. I used to go out to the club every thursay and saturday night. The club would generally play a good mix of dance/rap/electronic music throughout the night, so it’d be hours of dancing and drinking and a good time. Anyways, I went with this because it’s a good blend of everything mixed into one, and it’s just an overall filthy song, nice and dirty. just like brittany, and zach’s mustache.
